English Bridle Leather Braid Lead

Our braided leather leads are crafted with Wickett & Craig English Bridle Leather and heavy duty solid brass hardware. Wickett & Craig has been producing some of the finest vegetable tanned leathers in the US since 1867. Bridle leather is an environmentally safe tanned leather that is stabilized with vegetable and bark tannins, drum dyed then "hot stuffed" with oils and tallows to produce a very durable, firm leather with natural water repellency.

Our leads and collars break in beautifully and become very supple to provide years and years of use with periodic care. We have Wickett and Craig leather leads that were produced in 1997 that are still in amazing condition. Our leads are in use with pet owners, sport dog competitors, K9 units, professional dog trainers and their students. We use them for our own dogs and love the feel, durability and character of english bridle leather. 

This fully braided lead is approximately 36" and designed as a waist lead. It can be wrapped around the waist or over a shoulder when not being used. This length is ideal for close control or when a leash is desired but not immediately required.
